How to clear cache
in Google Chrome, posted Oct 18th 2011
The cache of a browser has one very good function: to speed up your browsing experience, by using local cached files, instead of reloading them from the original website.
The downside is that, after a while, the cache size becomes too big and it just wastes hard drive space and even slow down your computer.
In order to clean the Google Chrome browser cache, start by clicking the wrench button, then click on Options.

Go on the left side and click the Under the hood tab. Then click the Clear browsing data... button, on the right side.
In this final window, check Empty the cache option and un-check all others.
Choose the desired period of time (past hour/day/week, past 4 weeks or all cache) and, finally, click the Clear browsing data button.
