How to enable cookies
in Internet Explorer, posted Oct 22nd 2011
Cookies are sometimes required by some websites to be able to log into them, so disabling them may have some unintended consequences; this guide will show you how to enable them in your system in the case they were disabled to start with (which is not the default option).
To enable cookies in Internet Explorer browser, first step is to access the "Tools" option (or the button with the gear icon in newer versions), then click on "Internet options".
Go to the "Privacy" tab and then click the "Advanced" button.
Final step is to either uncheck the "Override automatic cookie handling" option, or check the "Accept" options present there; for most websites, toggling the "First-party Cookies" or the "Always allow session cookies" is enough to make them work (session cookies are cookies that will be deleted after the browser is closed). After you're done, click the "OK" button to save your new preference.
